Reasons To Exercise

  • Thirty minutes of moderate physical activity on most days of the week can greatly improve your health by lowering your risk of chronic disease.
  • Regular activity improves health because you will have less body fat, more muscle and better cardiovascular health. You will also be less likely to develop heart disease and some forms of cancer. You are also likely to strengthen your immune system and bones.
  • Lack of exercise and poor diet combine to be a leading cause of death in the US.
  • A balanced diet is crucial. Load up on fruits and vegetable and go easy on saturated fat and trans fat. Choose whole grain foods and low-fat or non-fat dairy products. Avoid commercially friend and baked goods such as crackers.
